I believe that all of us desire to have feelings of emotional fullness and completion. Both are blissful states that we reach first through meditation and then through constant awareness that we are full and complete.
Fullness
I describe fullness as those moments you when you understand that, “It can’t get any better than this!” It’s those moments of transcendence when your feelings of well-being greatly exceeds any rational examination of present circumstances. It’s the moment of peace where we arrive and realize that we wouldn’t trade who we are or where we been with anyone in the whole wide world.
I believe that we can have these feelings multiple times every day. All it takes is the realization of the present moment which might be stated as, “Where you are is where you are; what you’re doing is what you’re supposed to be doing and where you’re headed is where you’re going. It’s accepting the present moment as more than adequate. It’s taking away any self-imposed performance expectations that say you should be accomplishing more with your life than those about you or living-up to an inflated sense of egoic expectation. It’s you allowing yourself to be you–unconditionally as you are. When we allow ourselves to be fully present we have an awareness that everything works out–everything is going to be okay.
Completeness
is the realization that nothing needs to be added or detracted from you. It’s the realization that you are fine just the way you are. It’s an acceptance that you are on a journey and constantly evolving. It’s accepting that life is a process without despising any part of it. A person is complete when they do not need the approval of others to feel good about themselves. A person is complete when they are as comfortable being by themselves as surrounded by friends. Completeness is the realization that everything that needs doing in your life will happen as it should–even if the outcomes should surprise us.
Fullness and completion–two ideas that can change your life.
