Understanding The Presence Within
When we talk about the great being called The Presence within each of us, it’s natural to wonder, “What does this mean for my life? Do I need to make drastic changes?” The answer is both yes and no.
Yes, life should be different, but not how some people imagine. It’s not about running off to a cave or joining a cult. It’s about enhancing the life you already have, and whether you realize it or not, The Presence intentionally chose to live within you and live the life you are living today.
The Role of The Presence in Our Lives
Most of us go through life unaware of this inner Presence. We play our roles, such as student, family member, worker, and leader, relying upon our experiences and reasoning. But what most of us don’t realize is that this Presence intentionally chose our experiences even before we were born. The Presence probably sought these experiences for specific reasons, such as to learn, grow, and evolve, and probably for other reasons we can’t know at this time. But it’s an opportunity for soul development.
The Presence incarnated in your body, working in the background since the day of your birth.
Partnering with The Presence
The good news is, when you become aware of it, and consciously choose to partner with its experiential efforts, profound changes occur.
Partnering isn’t passive acceptance. It’s about actively engaging with life, understanding lessons, and making conscious choices aligned with The Presence’s wisdom. It’s facing the challenges and things you do each day with the best version of yourself as you integrate your conscious mind with your soul’s purpose.
But how do you begin this partnership?
Practical Steps to Connect with The Presence
It starts with stillness, reflection, and questioning. Find a quiet space, even if it’s just 10 minutes a day. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and focus on the inner self. Imagine a warm, loving light within you. Bring your questions to this inner light.
Don’t expect immediate, booming answers; instead, look for an inner knowing, a sense of clarity, or a shift of perspective. Ask yourself questions like, “What am I learning from this challenge? How can I approach this situation with more compassion? What’s my heart telling me?” Explore different meditation techniques or mindfulness practices and find something that resonates with you.
Embracing Inner Change
Life won’t become magically perfect, and challenges will still arise, but you’ll face them with greater resilience, wisdom, and inner peace. The change is internal initially, but as you align with your Presence, your perspective shifts.
