I taught Yoga for a number of years. I’m a big believer in the health benefits (both mental and physical) that it brings. The word yoga means “union.” Like all physical exercise, yoga is a process with the potential to unite our physical and spiritual well-being. The first is something that can happen right away while the second develops over time.
Several years ago I learned about laughing yoga. The concept is rather simple–but the results are profound. Instead of stretching postures laughing yoga uses laughing exercises. At the end of only a few exercises I notice that my body is feeling remarkably different. It is probably the fastest way to release endorphins that I know. Done correctly, it is a tool that creates a peaceful feeling and sense of well-being.
