This is my Fitbit Flex. I wear it everywhere. It is my constant reminder that I want to be healthier.
It’s pretty basic. It counts steps. My goal is to reach 10,000 steps each day with at least 30- 40 active minutes. The other day it congratulated me on reaching 500 miles. That was cool to think that I had walked that far.
I decided it was time to get one of these babies after I looked at myself in the mirror and said “Whoa buddy, you’re looking kinda funky!” I’d heard about them and of course you can buy them at Walmart.
You’d think that I’d be at my ideal weight after walking 500 miles! But it isn’t as easy as that. So far since April I’ve lost about 22 pounds. I’m getting closer to where I want to be but it appears I have another 250 miles worth of walking to get to my ideal weight.
I especially like the website that tracks my calories and steps. I use myfitnesspal.com to track my daily diet. It ties in nicely with the Fitbit website.
My blood pressure has come down, and my average pulse rate is less than it used to be. So I can say that the flex has been a good choice for me.
